Post Rec Game smiles for our 16's and 17's!

Q: If my daughter plays for Integrity will she be able to play rec?
A: Players are encouraged to continue with their recreation lacrosse teams if it suits their schedule. However, commitments to the Integrity team and Spring Premier League are considered primary. Occasional conflicts are fine (especially Rec and School games) providing players communicate with their Head Coaches. Many girls participated successfully in both last spring. All Premier League games (2017-2020/21) will be on Sundays.
Integrity staff will do our best to work with local girls lax commissioners and the county to make the spring season/rec season co-exist. The NPYGLL has worked directly with Baltimore's MYLA.

Q: What is the Spring Premier League?
A:
This is an “invitation only” elite Middle School Spring League for high-level club teams in the Maryland, D.C. and Virginia area that began in 2012. The NPYGLL has been modeled after the very successful elite boys club league (NPYLL) and this spring will have divisions for grad years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The NPYGLL will provide teams the opportunity to play against the highest level of competition in the area and give them a head-start on the summer tournament season. It is part of a major change in the landscape of girl's lacrosse, much like WAGS soccer and AAU athletics etc...

The benefits of the high level competition will pay dividends down the road in terms of increased skill, vision, confidence, lax IQ and experience. That said, we recognize the girls will need to practice on a regular basis to stay competitive and learn all the skills necessary to be successful in such a competitive environment. Therefore, the 2017-2020 teams will begin practicing in early March twice weekly through May. All games will be on Sundays at various times.

Q: Will my daughter have to stop playing other sports like travel soccer, volleyball, field hockey or basketball?
A: No. Our Integrity staff encourages the team to stay involved in other sports/activities. BUT, we are asking them to make a commitment to the practice and tournament schedule in the summer and fall. Many girls participate successfully in multiple sports.

Q: My daughter is just getting into this sport and I am not sure if this is right for her. Will she fit in?
A: Our mission is to develop any player that wishes to take her game to the next level.

Q: My daughter is advanced for her age, will she be challenged?
A: Absolutely. We play in the best club tournaments in the country.

Q: Do all the kids play equal amounts?
A: No, but we make every effort to rotate the girls as evenly as possible. The players that play more are the ones that attend practices and work hard.

Q: What if I cannot make all of the practices & tournaments?
A: We ask that you make a strong commitment to the practice and tournament schedules for the ENTIRE summer schedule. In the event that a situation causes a tournament conflict, it may be permissible, but the Coach needs to know well in advance. Teams are large enough to absorb absences but small enough to maximize game time for all players.

Q: Where do the teams practice?
A: Integrity practices at our private, picturesque fields in Davidsonville (close to Homestead Gardens). We never have to worry about fields being pulled from us for another club or sport.

Q: All of my friends say that club lacrosse will lead to burnout. Should I be worried?
A: We believe we have found the right recipe for success. Enough time to teach the game at the highest level but with the flexibility to let life continue. Our experience has girls coming early to practice, staying late and are disappointed by weather cancellations.

Q: What is the integrity philosophy?
A:  Integrity coaches stress the importance of team attack, many passes through transition and team defense. We strive to not only produce the BEST lacrosse player that you can be but also the best human being.

Q: I am not sure what level I should enter.
A: The year of her High school graduation determines the team.  If you are currently in 10th grade you are 2015, 9th grade you are 2016, 8th grade you are 2017, 7th grade you are 2018, 6th grade you are 2019, 5th grade you are 2020, 4th grade you are 2021.

Q: What does my tuition get me?
A: All coaching, tournament fees (fall, spring premier league & summer) and a full custom sublimated uniform (racer-back top, kilt, reversible pinnie & custom socks).  For high school players, this includes recruiting seminars and recruiting service.

Q: If I change my mind after I accept  membership can I get a refund ?
A:  Once membership has been accepted by a player there will be no refunds for any reason. Entrance to all of the 2013 summer tournaments for all teams is reserved and paid the previous fall by Integrity. These payments are based on the players that have accepted membership, therefore we cannot offer refunds.

Q: Why do I have to join US Lacrosse?
A: US Lacrosse provides additional insurance coverage for all of our players and coaches. For $25/year the athlete also will receive Lacrosse Magazine and discounts on any USL tournament we enter.

Q: How do I join US Lacrosse?
A: Log on to www.lacrosse.org and click on membership. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with your membership number.

Q: Are there any other costs that will pop up?
A: Some travel expenses when we attend the tournaments outside the DC/ Baltimore Metro area.

Q: How did you select the tournaments?
A: All of the tournaments are well run, host the most competitive teams and offer maximum playing time.

Q: I really want my daughter to take advantage of this great opportunity but she seems disinterested. Can you talk her into it?
A: Ask her why she is not interested.
If the answer is along these lines: “I would rather ride my bike in the court, I don’t really like lacrosse, I would rather play with my friends”. Then this player should NOT join Team Integrity.
If she says “I don’t know any of the girls, what if they don’t like me, I don’t think I am good enough, I’m too slow, what if I am embarrassed?” then this is a player that should give it a try. Our teams have girls predominantly from the Anne Arundel County area such as Annapolis, Broadneck, Crofton, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Harwood, Severn, Severna Park, Mayo, Millersville and Odenton, but also have girls from the greater DC/ Baltimore Metro area such as Bowie, Elkridge, Ellicott City and Havre de Grace as well as the Eastern Shore. We never forget that many girls plays sports for purely social reasons. This is why we have a firm commitment to making practices fun.
Q: OK, I’m sold. Now what do I do?
A: Go to the Tryouts/Registration page and complete on-line forms.

Q: I am already a Team Integrity player. Do I need to register and tryout again?
A: Yes, membership with Team Integrity is by tryout only and players must register and tryout yearly. Prior membership with Integrity does not guarantee future membership.

Q: I am already a Team Integrity rostered player. Can I play for another club team as well?
A:
Players are strongly discouraged from joining or committing in any way to other travel lacrosse programs. If "Integrity Lacrosse" is attending a tournament, our players who are interested in attending that tournament must play on the "Integrity" roster.
